ERP from the cloud – implexis makes company processes more flexible using the new version of Microsoft Dynamics

The on-premise version of the new Microsoft Dynamics AX cloud alternative is expected to be released in autumn of 2016. The cloud solution was launched back in March. Key new features of Release Two is a modernized user interface based on HTML5 that runs on a standard browser such as the Internet Explorer. implexis’ experts have started an intensive dialog on the new ERP suite with Microsoft and have tested Microsoft’s new ERP package AX extensively during their visit to the Redmont Executing Briefing Center in the U.S.A..

The technology behind the new version of Dynamics AX is Microsoft Azure. It uses all the advantages of the cloud, from easy registration, prompt commissioning, high availability rates and fast recovery to flexible capacities to complement resources. Thanks to the comprehensive integration with Office 365, information can be exchanged more easily among Dynamics AX, Dynamics CRM, Office and Power BI. Microsoft’s “partnership” with T-Systems ensures that data is more secure than ever: The German cloud for Europe makes it possible to store all data in Germany.

As one of Microsoft’s top partners, implexis provides assistance with the seamless conversion or migration to the new version of AX that includes popular functional modules such as Supply Chain Management, Financials, Human Resources, Production, Retail, and Requirements Calculation. HTML5 makes it possible to ensure optimized display on every end device. The browser replaces the former Windows client.

Like the user interface, the new workspace concept has been designed to ensure enhanced user productivity. It offers a full view of the process data in the user’s work area. The Task Recorder is a new documentation and aid tool that makes implementation even quicker.
